5 go to Saffron Walden

It’s been another quiet couple of weeks on the racing front with holidays, a few local TT’s and a round of MSG at Radical Bikes. MSG didn’t go terribly well for TPH Racing. Ryan had a DNF and Alex under performed for him with 5th in the Juvenile Male category. The general consensus was a great but tough and attritional course. Well done for getting out there fellas.

Becky looks to have secured the win in the Non-IDCA TT league with 11 rides now counting due to a couple of cancellations. Becky has been consistently strong all season making improvements every week. Well done (if confirmed) and good luck for next TT season especially if you join the pointy helmet brigade!

Keeds got a run out on Adam’s TT rig at the CCS Jonathan Weatherley TT on the Lavenham 10 course. Heavy traffic caused hold ups for nearly all the riders, but thats TT racing on open roads. Keeds managed only a small PB improvement due to that with an OT of 24:17. Should have been under 24 (so he says!).

The main event of the Crit season is coming this weekend. 5 (of TPH Racing) going to Saffron Walden for the Monument Cycling Grand Prix. A tricky town centre course with narrow lanes, cobbles and climbs looks like a monster challenge. Lucy and Molly go in the Womens 3/4 race followed by Adam, Ryan and Keeds in the Men 3/4 race. E/1/2 Womens and Mens races follow with some of the big hitters of UK Crit racing turning up. If you fancy a great day out in the sun watching some hard and fast racing get yourself there and support the team. Bring your Cowbells and Pom Poms and lets hear you!

Good luck racers!
