TPH Racing riders were doing all the things at all the places this last week or so since the Ixworth crits.
Molly and Alex braved the inclement weather last Thursday that canceled the shop ride to set more PB’s and season bests in the CCS TT series. Molly still leading the sibling battle but Alex is snapping at her heals and sitting pretty at the top of the CCS points table.
A few of the team had a crack at the Zwift Giro Prologue stage, which is short but brutal. Lucy started us off, but Rob pipped her and Keeds to fastest on the course out of TPH Racing.
We had a blanket bombing of TPH riders at the first Maglia Rosso Summer CX on Tuesday, a lonely Keeds north of the border at the Lotus Race Series, and solo Stu smashing up Maldon on his TT bike.
The Maglia Rosso Summer CX series is a great opportunity to try out Cross if your new to it or just keep the skills topped up on their short, but fast and technical course. Or if you’re Alex, just bring all your bikes and give them all a run out… 🙄
Adam 3rd
Ryan 5th
Becky 2nd
Alex 5th
Stu continued his great form this season by winning yet again on the Maldon 10 mile TT with a fast time into a stiff head wind: 22:41. This after the disappointment of having the B25/8 TT cancelled at the weekend due to railway crossing issues.
Keeds took on the Vet 3rd Cats and 4ths in a large field of ~60 in the second round of the Lotus Series. The Aircode was on fire, with Keeds shutting down attacks, trying a couple of nudges off the front and finishing at the pointy end. Mainly trying to stay out of chaos of such a large group! Result unknown at this point…
This Thursday we have the 2nd attempt at a Shop Ride where there should be plenty of TPH Racing riders present. (Remember it’s a social no drop ride!). Molly and Alex however will probably be battling each other for again for bragging rights at the CCS Lavenham TT.
** UPDATE **
Old man Keeds managed to bag himself 3rd in the 3./4 race at Lotus! Nice… 😀
